With Asheville (#1), Mount Pleasant (#4), Davidson, Hillsborough, and Greer all making the list, the Carolinas are carving out a niche for family-first towns that balance charm and practicality.

Tennessee makes a strong showing.
Beyond Franklin and Johnson City (both top 10), you’ll find Collierville rounding out the state’s trio.
